Memento Mori – Remember You Must Die

Memento Mori, a Latin phrase, which translates to ‘Remember you must die', serves as a reminder to live each day in awareness of the fact that one day, we must indeed die.

A reminder to embrace every moment as if it may perhaps be the last opportunity to live our lives according to our soul’s desire. If life is fleeting then the opportunities which present themselves to us are even more fleeting still. And so, if you were to imagine that each of life’s wonderful opportunities flutter towards us like a butterfly in the breeze, in this moment, we must either reach out our hand & invite it to rest gently in the palm of our hand or we could stand & watch & think too long. The butterfly passes us by. And in an instant, it’s gone.
