2023 - Numerology Year Number 7 - Spiritual Truth
Numerology is the age-old study of numbers, founded by the philosopher Pythagoras in the 6th century BC. The principals involve reducing numbers to a single digit (in some cases) to determine the symbology or energetic vibration of the result.
Each number or combination of numbers holds an imprint that can be interpreted to provide guidance to the individual. If you are to understand it from a common perspective (removing all the woo-woo mystical stuff), think of the barcodes you find on your common supermarket items. The scanner ‘blips’ over the barcode & the machine interprets which item exactly you are holding in your hand.
Boom, the screen says you’re holding a bottle of shampoo (or whatever) in your hand. Not rocket science, but very accurate. For those wary of the woo-woo mystical perceptions of Numerology, it’s time to let go of the misconception that there is a disconnect between the material & spiritual/energetic world.
You are here (feet on Earth) because of the energetic processes (quantum physics) which form your existence, atoms & molecules all swirling around at a certain frequency, to create your form. Or the form of a chair or rock or whatever (energetic vibrational process).
So here you are, a combination of physical & energetic/vibrational processes, without the two in tandem (without this duality) you would not exist. So enough with the ‘spiritual & energetic world is woo-woo’ & connect this concept in your mind & re-grasp a ‘new’ (age-old, 6th century) concept.
So, what of the numbers? Well now, think of numerology as the barcode of life, or creation, or cycles of life. We can use our computer (brain) to ‘blip’ over the numbers & spit out a determination of what we’re currently holding in our hands (life), what is before us.
The numbers or sequence of numbers that appear can be decoded in a way to point you in the right direction or to show you the ‘whys’ or the way.
Which numbers are we talking about? Well, any numbers, to begin with let’s look at the current year cycle (2023).
2023 when reduced to a single digit 2+0+2+3 = 7.
Numerologically speaking, we’re currently in a number 7-year. This is the ‘blip’, now what in the blip does this actually mean?
To decode the number, 7 represents insight, intuition, truth, introspection, quietness, solitude, intellect & wisdom.
During a 7 year, you (as an individual as well as society as a collective) will see the aspects of these amplified within yourself. In a 7 year, you’ll find yourself seeking the truth about yourself, the truth about existence, about where we come from, what are we doing here, why are we here, why is the world as it is, what is the point of it all?
There will be a lot of ‘why’s for you in a 7-year. Existential crisis is common in a 7-year, as well as depression & grief. During a 7-year, we are more likely to experience deep loss of some form, leading to grief, which leads to depression, which leads us to isolate ourselves & sink into existential depression & begin to question ‘why?’.
What is the point of all this? What is the point of anything anymore?
And when we start truth seeking, the answers find us. We’re a little bit broken & more open to learning the truth. We SEEK to know the truth, during our aloneness.
The purpose of a 7-year (everything has a purpose, rhyme & reason) is to prompt us to seek solitude & seek truth & in this truth seeking we find wisdom (or wisdom finds us). We open up to our intuition, our ‘gut-feelings’ about things are heightened. The spiritual realm suddenly peaks our interest.
We may find revealed the truth behind misperception of our own selves or misperceptions of those around us. A number 7 year will surprise you; it will reveal to you that all that you held as gospel is not necessarily the truth about yourself or of those around you. Everything you held as truth may now be revealed to you as a lie; or simply a distorted perception of reality.
We may find societal truths revealed, governmental cover-ups (ouch), conspiracy theories might suddenly be revealed as fact (ouch). The veil of what you thought was the fabric of society may be lifted & you see the truth revealed before you.
The 7-year will expose you to aspects of your life for which you have become deeply dissatisfied, whether it is your home-life, relationship, career, environment or what-have-you. Suddenly you’ll see it for what it is in order for you to accept that changes need to be made in order for you to live in your truth.
Do you want to be happy & content? The truth is everybody does. And the 7-year lifts that veil of denial that you keep living by because it’s easier to deny than to make a change toward happiness. Learning & accepting the truth this year is what sets us free, after all.
If you find yourself depressed & lonely during a 7-year, congratulations, you’re doing it right. That’s exactly where you’re supposed to be this year. Everyone else is feeling the same thing. This year, we’re all sitting alone in introspection, questing every aspect of our existence. Seeking answers. Finding wisdom. Lofting about at home wondering if all this ‘woo-woo’ stuff is the answer & watching countless YouTube videos on megaliths & ancient civilizations. Or picking up a book on Feng Shui for the first time. Or researching the uncanny similarities between the Quran & the Holy Bible.
Essentially, it’s the year of the spiritual quest. Kind of like Indiana Jones, except alone & depressed. The temple we’re looking for is within. Spiritual truth. Wisdom. Intuition. Knowing. It’s an inner quest. Just go with it. It’ll be worth it.
That’s my ‘blip’ on the 7-year that is 2023, my shampoo bottle of Pythagorean knowledge. Take it or leave it, but the truth this year shall set you (& the rest of us) free (next year).
On the other side of this is 2024 (number 8-year), Karma. Whichever seeds you plant this year, will sprout next year. That is the truth of karma. Be mindful of the seeds you sow.
