11:11 - The Science Behind Twin Flame Yearning

The term ‘Twin Flame’ has been thrown around a fair bit in the past few years & may have gathered notoriety for instilling hope in the hearts of many that there really is one true love out there for each of us.

A vibrational match, two flames burning from one, bound to each other for eternity, life after life… On a quest to find each other by a series of serendipitous events, a chance meeting in the middle of nowhere, your eyes meet & your heart feels something stirring right away, it feels oddly ‘at home’, yet you're confusingly drawn to a ‘stranger’.

A stranger which is about to trigger massive periods of personal growth, dark nights of the soul, existential depression & spiritual awakening. One runs from the intensity of the connection while the other chases, without knowing why, besides the deep void they suddenly feel or an indescribable yearning or pulling at the heartstrings.

“Why is this person so deeply engraved in my heart & my mind? Have I gone mad??”

You can ‘hear’ them, you can ‘feel’ them, they haunt your dreams & they haunt your soul. You yearn & you pine for them until your heart breaks & your world breaks. Your house-of-cards tumbles around you & you’ve no choice but to rebuild the life around you that has fallen away suddenly without rhyme or reason. Suddenly you have nothing, you've lost everything & you've lost your way. There is no 'way' to be found, you are stuck in a void, an existential void.

‘Time to heal’, the universe whispers & drags you by the hair in whichever direction the Gods have determined. You're a shell, so you go. You've no choice but to go. You can't stay where you are because it no longer exists. So you go. You start your journey of healing. Of painful growth. Of expansion. You rebuild. Recover. Move. Shift. Change. You level-up. You fumble. And tumble. And fall. But you stand up again & continue. You have no choice but to continue & to level-up while the memory of this ’stranger’ continues to haunt you in the shadows of your heart, mind & soul.

In time, you find yourself anew. You’ve expanded into a newer you, found a new version of the you that you never knew existed. You are different now, somehow parts of you have fallen away. You can hear the parts of your soul that you couldn't ever hear before. You’ve worked on you & now you are a renewed version of you. Like a snake that has shed it's skin, you are still 'you' but you are more 'you' than you've ever been before. You are renewed & a newness is in you. But the memory of the 'stranger' you once knew is still within this renewed version of you. That stranger you never forgot, but you’ve been so busy working on renewing the 'you' so they have fallen to the back of your mind, just a whisper for now, no longer a heart-wrenching scream.

In that instant that you begin to ‘forget’ & move on to something or someone new, the stranger appears once again in your existence. Only this time, they’re the one chasing you.

This is supposedly the Twin Flame ‘runner/chaser’ dynamic, a cycle of healing & growth spurred on by meeting the vibrational match to your very own soul; your ‘divine counterpart’. Your very own evolutionary soulmate.

But is there science to support this or is it simply romanticism gone mad?

Well, I am a romantic at heart with my head in the stars, but I also have my feet planted heavily on the ground & I love researching the heck out of everything. I want facts to support everything (even if intuitively, I know in my heart what-is-what).

To explain the science behind Twin Flames, I have to get science-y for a minute to explain the elemental make-up of the human body which states that we are, in fact, stars wrapped in skin.

The elements that make up the human body (oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, phosphorous, potassium, etc) are atoms which were created in the dying stage of an exploding star called a supernova.

These elements were hurled into space as dust and gas (stardust), swirling to form a Nebula, which is literally a stellar nursery (where new baby stars are born). After some time of swirling, they merged & fused together to become part of a newly forming solar system and our planet Earth, as well as forming us humans.

So, as I said earlier, we are bits and pieces of star and cosmic dust fused together. We literally are stars wrapped in skin.

As planetary scientist and stardust expert Dr Ashley King explains,

'This constant reprocessing of everything is called galactic chemical evolution,' Ashley says. 'Every element was made in a star and if you combine those elements in different ways you can make species of gas, minerals, and bigger things like asteroids, and from asteroids you can start making planets and then you start to make water and other ingredients required for life and then, eventually, us.'

So, where do Twin Flames come into play, Dee?

Well… As it turns out, new evidence has come to light that all stars in our solar system are binary stars, meaning they are born in pairs (literally stellar twins). Even our Sun (which is a star), was certainly born into existence with a twin 4.5 billion years ago.

Binary stars are forever in orbit of each other & bound to one another by a gravitational mass. This orbit may be vast enough for binary stars to drift into the universe (seemingly) alone, however, the gravitational force will always keep them bound & orbiting back to one another (much like the etheric thread that keeps you bound to your Twin Flame).

These binary stars can exchange mass during stages of orbiting close to one another (energetic transfer & exchange) which may bring their evolution to stages that a single star could not attain without the intervention of it's twin (Twin Flame, runner/chaser, growth, expansion & evolution).

So, every star has an unseen companion in the sky; it’s divine counterpart, a flicker of the same flame (Twin Flame), gracefully orbiting & bound by a mysterious gravitational force; en etheric thread & universal call-to-home.

If we are stars wrapped in skin, then it’s safe to say that Twin Flame yearning is that mysterious & inexplicable gravitational force that keeps you bound to your binary twin; your divine counterpart, a flicker of the same flame.

Twin Flame yearning then, is your universal call-to-home, the energetic pull from your twin towards personal healing, growth & expansion for the sole purpose of personal evolution & divine union.
